Vapor and E-Cigarettes – 4 Aspects Everyone Gets Wrong

Despite what you may think, there are quite a few controversies surrounding everything related to vapor and e-cigarettes.

Most are unfounded, however, and they need to explain better. Here are four facts everyone misrepresents:

1. Vape Pens Don’t Help People Quit Smoking

One of the most present pieces of misinformation surrounding vaporizers is that they don’t help people quit smoking. It was found that they do have an effect on tobacco consumption.

Of course, hardcore smokers might not quit entirely, but they will surely spend a lot less on cigarettes than before.

In fact, many experts consider the need to smoke to be a psychological phenomenon. If you think about it, it makes sense.

Sure, there is the addictive nature of nicotine that gets you smoking. But you also get used to a routine. Picking up a cigarette, lighting it up – it becomes natural behavior.

Why not replace that habit with something less destructive, like puffing an e-cigarette? And speaking of the dangers of smoking, here’s another myth that’s making the rounds on the Internet.

2. Vapor and E-Cigarettes More Harmful

Many believe that the vapor is more harmful than tobacco smoke. The problem is that there are quite a few clashing studies on this matter.

The consensus is that the nicotine exposure is much lower in vaporizers than from normal cigarettes.
Another argument on this subject is that smoking cigarette creates a residue named tar. It is highly toxic to your lungs.
It is certainly more harmful to you than vapor and e-cigarettes. The latter do not leave behind this tar residue.
In fact, you can even do a little experiment to see what kind of effect smoking has on your lungs. Note that you can only do this if you smoke or have an acquaintance who is a smoker:
Grab two napkins;
Prepare your e-cigarette or vape pen;
Blow some cigarette smoke through the napkin (or get your friend to do it);
Try the same thing with your vaporizer;
What did you notice? The cigarette smoke left an ugly brown stain on the napkin, while the vapor had no effect!
Now, imagine what the smoke must be doing to your lungs. We are fairly certain that it is not a pretty image.

3. E-Liquids Don’t Contain Any Nicotine

On the other hand, there are many people think e-liquids don’t contain any nicotine. If that were the case, the Pens would never have been effective as a harm reduction method.
Smokers still need their dose of nicotine, so various e-liquids contain trace amounts of it.
The good news is that you can slowly reduce the nicotine dosage by changing the liquid. With time, you will find the perfect combination of flavour that will make you forget all about it.
You can’t say the same about cigarettes. You will never find a brand that has no nicotine in it because they simply do not exist.

4. Vaporizers Are the Same as E-Cigarettes

It could not be further from the truth. The gravest error is to mistake the two.

On the one hand, vaporizers have a lower dose of nicotine. When it comes to vapor and e-cigarettes, the latter have a more moderate amount of vapor compared to the high amount of nicotine.

Plus, with vaporizers, you have a much larger choice of flavours. Get your choice of cheap e-liquid and see for yourself how much of a difference there is!
