Are E-cigarettes Included in the Public Housing Smoking Ban?
With an ongoing speculations about the recent ban in the the public housing sector, it was vague whether the ban includes vaping or not. In this blog, we have stated few facts that will help you make a better choice.
Starting from 31st July 2018, smoking has been banned across all Public Housing societies (PHS) in USA. The law was passed two years back by Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and PHS were given time till 30th July 2018 to implement it. Smokers need to be at least 20 feet away from the housing unit to light a cigarette.
It is estimated that the ban will lead to annual savings of $153 million in public health costs and losses that are incurred due to preventable fires.
The ban excludes e-cigarettes as they are considered less harmful. However, in some states of US, E-cigarettes are also facing a ban. But if you live in Pakistan, there is a less chance that you will face any repercussion. Of course, if you are under 18, it is recommended that you don’t smoke.
But how does it impact the Pakistani community?
It doesn’t. But what is does is, it tells us how dangerous an act of smoking can be, for you and for people around you. A country which isn’t alien to diseases can’t afford to have smokers all around the country. So, following in the footsteps of a more advanced country, we can be sure of the fact that vaping would be the best alternative for welfare of Pakistani people. Furthermore, we not only can save the lives of people but also save a lot of money.

Yes, it definitely is. Numerous researches have proven that e-cigarettes are safer than combustible cigarettes. Now that is exactly why people are more inclined towards vaping. You will see countless cases in real life and while surfing on the internet which would tell that many people are successfully quitting a dangerous habit of smoking.
